Supply, installation, and integration of advanced cybersecurity software tailored for the simulation of real IT infrastructure, commonly known as "Deception Technology”

The aviation sector faces rising cybersecurity risks targeting critical IT systems. To address these, Syscom Engineering implemented Fortinet’s FortiDeceptor technology – the first of its kind in Bulgaria’s aviation industry. The project aimed to enhance cybersecurity by simulating realistic IT environments to detect and neutralize threats proactively.

SCOPE:

The project includes the following activities:

Software Supply and Licensing

• Provision of specialized software designed to simulate client’s IT environment, creating a realistic simulation (Deception Technology) for proactive defense against cyber attacks.
• Delivery and activation of all necessary licenses to ensure full operational use of the software.

Installation and Integration

• Installation of Deception Technology software within client’s existing IT infrastructure.
• Seamless integration with client’s current Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to enhance overall security posture.
• Detailed configuration to match specific requirements.
• Conducting comprehensive on-site acceptance testing (SAT) to validate the system’s effectiveness.

Ongoing Software Provisioning

• Ensuring continued access and provisioning of the Deception Technology software to maintain its effectiveness as a cybersecurity tool for the client.

RESULTS

Syscom Engineering supplied and licensed FortiDeceptor software, tailored to simulate the client’s IT environment. The solution was seamlessly integrated into the client’s existing infrastructure and SIEM system, ensuring optimal configuration and performance.

Comprehensive on-site acceptance testing validated its effectiveness, with ongoing software provisioning established for sustained cybersecurity resilience.
